Each time I access FB I see the joys, trials, and advents of personal lives. I pray for each connection, knowing that God answers prayers the instant we pray for someone. And then I see many of the answers to these prayers. Some answers come in unexpected ways, or (at least initially) as unwanted answers. God seems to answer prayer three ways: YES, NO, or WAIT. The wait answer can be the most painful. Theres seemingly no closure as we wait, but not really. I believe God answers prayer the instant we ask for it - in HIS timing. So if you are waiting, or just not finding your desired outcome, please know that an all-knowing and all-powerful God knows better. Sometimes we need to be more aware of how those answers are unfolding. I used to love watching a 50s TV show called, Father Knows Best, starring the charismatic actor, Robert Young. Amazingly the father, Jim Anderson, was always correct, ever the wise decision maker. There may be no such father in our world, but in in heaven, on his throne, our Father is just that. He never gets it wrong. He knows us more we know ourselves, and he loves us more than anyone (including ourselves). If today brings you blessings, I rejoice with you. If it brings trials, know that Father knows best. He will never let you suffer too long, or for the wrong reasons. He knows your pain, your desires, your loved ones - and he knows them better than you. Today, I give thanks, because neither you or I have to worry about anything. Because, Father knows best.
