Each time that I read about someone my age or younger from my hometown area passing away it makes me realize how precious this life on earth truly is. At any moment you could breathe your last breath. You could smile your last smile. Without knowing it you could have just kissed your kids, hugged your wife, or talked to your mom, dad, or best friend for the very last time. It is a reminder to each of us that remain that this life on Earth is temporary, it is but a vapor. It is a reminder that we have only one opportunity to walk the path laid before us. I pray that each day of your life you are thankful for another sunrise, that you cherish what each and every day holds for you, that we use our time on this earth to truly love those around us, and most importantly that we cling to the promises of God and the hope that is only found in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. My heart breaks to see another class mate laid to rest, and to see young children having to say goodbye to their father. I pray wholeheartedly for peace and comfort in this time of loss for the entire family of Mike Devore. May the rest of us be there for them in all ways as they go through this difficult time.
