Earl Peanutt Montgomery is a legend among songwriters. Songs written or co-written by Montgomery have been recorded by many of the biggest names in country music including George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Tanya Tucker. Montgomery was honored Friday with a bronze star in the Walk of Fame @ the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia. A capacity crowd filled the lobby of the Hall of Fame for the unveiling of Montgomerys star. You can see Montgomerys star, along with those of other Alabama music legends, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. today.
