Earlier this week, former President Bill Clinton spoke on the #EricGarner case and a Staten Island Grand Jurys failure to hold #NYPD officer #DanielPantaleo or any of the officers involved accountable for the fatal. Clinton told Fusion, “[Garner] was doing something he should not have been doing. That was illegal. He was selling untaxed cigarettes on the street in small volumes, trying to make a little extra money. But he didn’t deserve to die because of that.” Since the non-indictment, tens of thousands of New Yorkers have taken to the street every single day to protest the unjust grand jury ruling as well as NYC Mayor Bill deBlasio and Police Commissioner Bill Brattons Broken Windows tactic and the violence it creates. Garner was allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes when he was stopped by police.
