Earlier this week, we announced that the History Commission has been able to open up some collections of records that have been closed in the past. In addition to the Arkansas National Guard Records up to the year 1960, were also opening up the Arkansas State Board of Embalmers’ and Funeral Home Directors’ Records, c.1900s-1990s. These records will be available for historical and personal research in the AHC research room, and will require 48 hour notice due to the sensitive and personal information contained in some of the records. Were very pleased to finally be able to offer their use to the public. Requests to use this collection can be made by emailing [email protected].
