Earlier this week, we were approached to help two beautiful long haired Chihuahuas in the Tamworth Pound. At first the task seemed overwhelming, however I have been blown away by how many people have offered to help get these boys into our care. Firstly, thank you to Alison, an RSPCA volunteer from Tamworth who saved the boys and transferred them to our new friends at Greencross Vets Tamworth for boarding until they could be transported. Alison was even willing to drive Cletus and Frankie all the way to Coffs Harbour, where our friend Sarah arranged boarding for them and was going to drive them to Brisbane this weekend! However, I then received a call from one of the lovely vets from Tamworth who offered to drive the dogs from Tamworth to Brisbane herself tomorrow! This meant the boys would arrive even sooner and via a far more direct journey. Cletus and Frank will arrive in Brisbane tomorrow. I want to extend such a huge thank you to Alison for saving Cletus and Frankie and for her incredible kind and generous donation of a canvas crate for them to travel in. Also thanks to Carly, our friend from the AWL Ipswich. Carly is Alisons daughter so she linked us all together! Thank you to Sarah for being willing to board and transport the boys via Coffs Harbour, even though we didnt need to do this, we appreciate your offer. Thank you to the wonderful team at Tamworth Greencross for boarding Frankie and Cletus and for being so willing to help rescue. And finally thank you to Dr Debra for driving the dogs to Brisbane tomorrow. We are overwhelmed by the support and help we have received! You are all heroes!
