Earlier this year, Filipino Chef Leah Eveleigh used her Filipino roots to win the Food Networks cooking show called Cutthroat Kitchen. Cutthroat Kitchen is a reality-based culinary competition that pits the chefs against each other through cutthroat strategies, mind games and crazy sabotages dreamed up by host Alton Brown. It’s a cooking show with many evil twists and turns - including the ingredients. I laughed out loud when her final competitor thought he was going to hurt her chances of a win by making her cook a fish fry with anchovies. Obviously being Filipino this was no challenge for her. He apparently had no idea that for Filipinos anchovies were the perfect fish for a fry. :) I say you go girl. Chef Leah Eveleigh!
