Earlier this year a graduate of the Kendall College Culinary Arts program, Ronayne Thomas, was killed in a bike accident at one of the Brown Line stations. His brother who was also a graduate of the program was killed in a drunk driving accident many years ago. A group of alumni have gotten together to organize a memorial fundraiser in hopes of creating a scholarship in their names. The memorial fundraiser will be held on Sunday, September 14th 2014 from 3 to 6pm at One North Kitchen and Bar located at 1 N. Upper Wacker Drive Chicago, IL 60606. Tickets are $40 and proceeds will go towards funding the Thomas Family Alumni Memorial Scholarship at Kendall College. Appetizers created by members of the culinary community will be served and a cash bar will be available.
