Earlier today I posted on a topic that I absolutely knew was going to get some firestorm (teachers having to produce to get pay raises according to new law to take effect in January)....and it did. I also realize I have many friends and relatives that are/were teachers. So, let me clarify something here. My dad taught in the public schools (High School civics)for twenty years. Growing up, his biggest complaint was that teachers be less than par and yet still get the pay raises, etc where their counterparts in the private sector didnt and shouldnt. So, with that said, let me add...if you are a teacher, I admire you. But at the same time, no business in their right mind would continue to promote and increase pay on someone that has a poor productivity record. Albeit, I am certain this number is small. So again, why do we want to reward bad results?
