Earlier today at St. Charles East High School, a concerned East parent alerted school administration that there might be prohibited items stored in a locker. This lead to a thorough locker search and several items were found in one locker. East High School administration immediately called the police who are now investigating the matter. As part of this investigation and as a precaution, the police have requested the Bomb Squad search the building. All faculty, staff and students have left the building and we expect this search to take a couple of hours. All athletes and students who did not go home at dismissal can be picked up at the Norris Field House. We will be sending another message to you when we receive the all clear.
