Earlier today, one of the most amazing people in the world and one whom I have had the privilege to consider a near and dear friend for close to 15 years lost his fight to cancer. Words cannot even begin to express how much love, warmth and kindness Dave Rahn spread to everyone he touched. No matter who you were (a HOFer, a world-renowned singer or just a regular person), he loved you the same way and would share the same infectious laughs with you. For me personally, Dave was truly one of my best friends. He was always there for me for a shoulder to cry on, a person I could chat with about ANY SPORT or someone to just share a laugh with. I will miss him dearly, but am comforted in knowing hes up above shaking his head and laughing at all the silly things I do. My heart does break, and I do send my sincere condolences to Holly Judd Rahn, Daves beautiful wife, who has stood by his side throughout this painful battle and Daves family (and also Hank & Truman). Holly, if there is ANYTHING you need, please reach out to me and let me know if there is anything I can do, as I love you as much as I love Dave! Dave - Im hoping you are up above chillin with God and Bill Walsh, and looking over us all. You are so loved by so many, and you will truly be missed by everyone you have touched. Rest in paradise my friend!
