Earlier, we were told that without the knowledge of PKR, Hadi Awang had a secret meeting with DAP to persuade the latter to reject Wan Azizah as MB. Now, we are told that Hadi had an undisclosed meeting with the Sultan, where successor to Khalid Ibrahim was discussed. One can’t help but wonder: what other such secretive meetings Hadi had conducted on sensitive and critical issues affecting Pakatan without the knowledge of the other Pakatan partners? Such secretive unilateral conduct stands in contrast to Anwar Ibahim’s standing policy of insisting that leaders of all the three component parties must be present whenever there is a dialogue between Pakatan and others where vital issues affective the alliance is discussed. Hadi Awang has to make up his mind whether he genuinely wants to work with Pakatan. If he does, he must conduct himself in words and deeds as a trustworthy partner who honours his commitment to the policies and decisions agreed to jointly by the alliance.
