Early Morning Chill with Bodhi Ok. I said its cold. Yes, it is, but the sun should be rising in a few hours. Bodhi is in my lap for the next few hours, covered in two pair of basketball shorts (I didnt even know he played), one pair of cargo shorts, and a long sleeve shirt. Im wearing the other long sleeve. I hate being cold. Got enough of this in the Corps. Oh well, what are ya gonna do? Mother Nature aint hearing it. We are still under canopy of the livery stable. Up here in the mountains you never know when its gonna rain. Just know itll happen every day. At daybreak, we will leave for Ouray. Its a ten mile trip. An easy walk. If Bodhi can manage half, I can carry him, with the rest of my gear, the rest of the way. Well take it slow with lots of breaks for him to chase Mule Deer, which are in abundance. I really want him to be happy up here. I know dogs like routine, and its about time he get somewhere and settle down. As for me? I just wanna find some place that I can call home. I really dont know what that will look like or feel like. I just know that Im exhausted calling my home the possessions I carry on my back. One day.....Ill be free and easy.
