Early Morning Pondering (EMP): April 24, 2014 ... :) :) :) ... Beloved, it is harvest time. Reap, reap, reap! JESUS tells us that, the one who reaps the harvest receives wages, and gathers fruit for Eternal Life; so that both the one who sows and the one who reaps may rejoice together. This thereby confirms the saying, One sows and another reaps, as true. Beloved, JESUS has called us into HIS Rest of Abundance. JESUS encourages us to enter into HIS joyous work of harvesting souls for HIS Kingdom by teaching what the work of the harvest is like and living our lives in obedience to HIS Will. In HIS WORD, JESUS said: I sent you to reap that whereupon ye bestowed no labor: other men labored, and ye are entered into their labors. (John 4: 38); JESUS has given us the authority to reap a harvest that we have not labored; others have labored, and we have entered into their labors; and we profit from their work! The harvest is for an appointed time and is looked forward to, before it comes; same goes for the Gospel. Harvest time is a busy time, where all must be at work. It is either harvest work is done, or it is not done at all. Same also, the time of the Gospel is a season. Once it is past, it cannot be recalled. JESUS has left us an example, that we do the Will of GOD as HE did. JESUS CHRIST likens HIS Work to harvest work and we are to do it with diligence, as those that make a business of it; that is, with delight and pleasure in it. Much has been done by those who have gone before us. Others have toiled. Thus, all the laborious preparation of the soil for the seed has been completed and we are to enter into the toil of others who have worked and profit from their labor.
