Early on I realized I was too middle-of-the-road for a real career in entertainment. I was convinced that people with real, big-time creativity were wired differently than normal people. They tend to be more extreme. Its not just having a sense of humor or a good voice or the right look, its a certain degree of manic thats usually balanced by wild downs that provide the larger than life aura thats necessary to fill a stage or a screen. Thats what I believe to be behind the irony of those who bring the rest of us such humor and happiness suffering so much tragedy in their own lives.
