Earth calling Art Students.. Hey im not sure if this is the best place to post this idea/comment but I am looking to do a solidarity action/performance peice in an around the college (possibly lunch time 12-1pm) as a gesture of international student solidarity to the 43 Mexican students murdered for making a stand/protesting against the government there. (see links for more info on what happened) In Derry several people took part in an action to highlight the killings (see image). What I wanted to do gather is 43 students in college, each wearing their own white tshirts (maybe over there clothes as its winter) with a bloodied (red paint) hand/or hands on it, both back and front. With the 43 students gathered I would like to mass them together, first in the lobby (inside the college) piled up on the ground and then out side in public in the square of the college grounds both for photographs to be taken so as the highlight the murders locally, nationally and internationally. For this to happen I wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in helping to organise this with me.
