Viewers know that Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) are currently preparing to move to Bolton for Abis university course. However, after Aunt Sal mistakes Lola for Jays girlfriend, Abi grows increasingly worried about their relationship. When Ben notices a spark between Lola and Jay, he too becomes concerned and later takes Abi aside and reveals that he thinks Jay is in love with Lola. Later, a drunk Abi decides to confront Jay over his feelings, but she is devastated when Jay ends their relationship, explaining how he needs to stay in Walford. Believing that Lola is the cause of his change of heart, Abi snaps. Is this finally the end of the road for Abi and Jay?EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC One.
