Easy solution(s) for fast food store owners with workers requiring $15 per hour: a.) Make them contract employees - after 3-6 months, their contract ends. Therefore, they cannot get merit raises or are at the location long-term. This also puts forth the idea that these are typically short-term jobs for folks with experience, NOT for long-term employment. b.) Automate the cashier operations. They do it at a supermarket, they can do it at a fast food joint. Select your order, swipe your credit card, have your food delivered. c.) Reduce the amount of staff. 1-2 workers per restaurant, regardless of the volume. Corporations will always win in this regard. If you dont think these solutions are being considered, think again.
