Easy tips to nurture your network -- Networking is one of the most useful tools that youll need in your essential job seeker toolkit. Consider the following tips to nurture your network: Call 2-3 contacts each week. Talk shop, share stories, talk about whats going on in your world of work. This is a great way to stay in touch and keep the lines of communication open. Like, share and comment on social networks. Being a part of online conversation lets your extended network know that youre engaged, present and that you care. Send a card to say hello. The slow pace of snail mail can be a welcomed gift. If its been a while since you chatted with someone, think how impactful it could be to receive a hand written note. And, the added bonus is theyre bound to give you a call after they receive it. Meet up during events and try to make the most of them. Touching base with other attendees that you havent seen in awhile is a nice way to reconnect and nurture relationships. BONUS!
