Eating nuts could be the key to a longer, healthier life. A recent study spanning 30 years found that people who ate a small handful of nuts each day were 20% less likely to have died for any reason during that time than those who never ate nuts. Just five servings a week corresponded to a 29% drop in mortality from heart disease and an 11% drop for cancer! Past studies have also shown that the highly nutritious combination of fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats in nuts have been shown to help prevent heart disease and diabetes. Guess its a good thing I like nuts so much....
