Ebola date July 5, 2014 For the 4th July 2014, a total of 17 samples were received by the Laboratory: Kailahun (3), Kenema (11), Bombali (1), Tonkolili (1) and Bo (1). Six (6) of the 17 samples were laboratory confirmed positive for Ebola, Two (2) from Kailahun and four (4) Kenema. Four of the remaining samples are negative while results for seven samples are pending. Kenema and Kailahun Districts still remain the only two districts with Ebola confirmed cases in the country at present The cumulative number of cases tested is504, with laboratory confirmed cases of 254 and 73confirmed deaths Ninety-two (92) cases are currently admitted in the Ebola treatment centers. 54 in Kenema and 38 in Kailahun The cumulative number of discharged cases is 32 Line listing of contacts and monitoring of case contacts is on-going in districts with confirmed cases
