=Ebola viral disease is a haemorrhagic fever that infects humans. =the viral pathogen are the Filoviruses. =The Ebola Viral disease is caused by species of virus under the genus Ebolavirus. =the virus particles are filamentous and the genome is a single-stranded DNA. =the virus attacks connective tissue leading to extensive haemorrhage and death results. NB: patients of Ebola usually complains of flulike signs and symptoms such as headache, malaise, myalgia, fever, cough and sore throat which first appear within three (3) days of infection.
