Expertise in Verilog coding, FPGA simulation and verification, and Lab bring-up and testing is required. Design with Xilinx or Altera design tool flow and technology is required. Responsibilities: • Create design specifications, detailed architecture, and micro-architecture for data-path and control-path FPGAs that work in server products • FPGA Design, Simulation & Verification with Verilog. • Work with FPGA place & route tools in assuring timing closure and I/O requirements are met • Analyze, design, and develop conventional high speed digital circuits as required. • Conduct and participate in design and code reviews. • Write and analyze test plans, conduct design tests and evaluate test results. • Work on lab bring-up and testing of FPGAs. • Prepare and maintain product documentation, including specifications, design documentation, simulation environment. • Provide and maintain accurate project plans. • Work with hardware, software and system test teams in assuring design meets requirements Qualifications: • B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering • Minimum 5 years of experience in high density, high-speed FPGA design • Designing FPGAs for server products, including data path transport, pipelining, FIFO design, and hardware task scheduling • Experience in designing for standard interfaces such as PCIe and SFI, with on-chip SerDes technology. • Experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGA design and verification tools • High speed board level digital circuit design as it relates to FPGA I/O requirements • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
