Ed Balls you are a lying dishonest something or other surprise surprise! You can only commit the offence of failing to stop and report a collision if you knew you had had a collision. The fact that you pleaded guilty shows that was the case. CPS will have only prosecuted you if they were satisfied you clearly had a case to answer. If it is apparent you wouldnt have known you had hit the other car then the CPS wouldnt have prosecuted you! I have a feeling the fact that what you did was recorded on CCTV helped you decide to plead guilty. For the District Judge to play this offence down is, in my opinion, totally wrong. He/She should have emphasized the fact that Ed Balls is a senior MP and this was a clear act of dishonesty which left some poor innocent member of the public with their car damaged. If I had done what Ed Balls did I would have been sacked!
