Edinburgh during the festival is amazing. I have just dropped my parents off at Waverley station after a two day visit. My 83 year old mother has danced on stage with the Soweto Melodic Voices at the Just Festival TWICE, had a massive nose bleed and after making an enormous fuss and calling managers and all sorts of drama, got admitted to a show 30 minutes late and without a ticket.. The show was Growing Old Disgracefully with Virginia Ironside at the Assembly Rooms. She said it marvellous, .. well done Assembly Rooms, I hope you saw the funny side. In the meantime my father had a wonderful quiet and peaceful time on the new tram. He got a seat right at the front of the tram and rode all the way from Princes St to the Airport and back and was really impressed with how it was able to go up and down steep inclines and turn tight corners. He did not speak to anyone or have any dramas at all. Something for everyone.
