Edit at 10:15pm: I no sooner got this typed and he woke up crying in pain. A little bump of Toradol later with an ice pack on his eyes, and hes sound asleep again. 9:50pm update: Ty is still sleeping peacefully. He has awoke a few times, but isnt really aware of anything. Dr. Fearon is keeping him on a steady dose of Precedex which isnt like morphine, pain killers, etc. Its more like keeping him in a light light light coma. Instead of being doped up on pain killers, he is resting easy. He can sleep restfully, hes only had 1 small dose of morphine all day long, he is just resting. They cleaned his incision earlier. His ENTIRE scar is so thin now you could have drawn it on with an ink pen. Its amazing! But most importantly is the fact hes doing so good. No fever now. He only lost about a coffee cup of blood during surgery & they gave half of that back to him. I feel so confident in my choice of Dr. Fearon. I can NOT thank everyone enough for every penny you helped raise that got us here. Im staying in PICU tonight with him; I forced Dad to stay in the lobby. Only 1 parent with him at night. Thats MY job. Hes my Ty-Ty. 😍😍
