**Edited** Im so angry and frustrated! We were approved to add a fence along our property last summer; it was expensive and labor intensive but the end result has been our dogs and grandchildren are better protected from the nearby coyotes, we have less noise from the street traffic that has steadily increased since 1987 when the homes were built and we have privacy from the homes across the way that also didnt exist years ago. So why am I angry and frustrated... Because along with the approval to build the fence was the condition that we plant a privacy hedge, which we did. The HOA arbitrarily determined that it should take 6 months to cover 1/2 of our fence and 12 months to cover the rest. Unfortunately, the drought took its toll the growth of the vine, killing some of it and limiting its growth in other areas. We chose drought resistant plants because we have been replacing all of our yard with drought resistant So now the HOA is telling us we have to remove the fence because the vine didint grow. We have appealed the decision but they remain firm in their demand up to and including threatening to remove it and bill us. I cant imagine how this is even legal. Clearly we may need an attorney but Im not sure what type of attorney we need... Does anyone have any experience in dealing with this type of an issue!
