Education Business Solutions has won a bid to deliver a GM wide Careers Event in Manchester for all GM LA areas. The aim of the event is to attract 15/16 – 20 year olds and for them to attend an event offering opportunities for them to apply for. We are wanting to aim the event at: · Year 10 · Year 11 at risk of RPA non compliant · Active NEET · College leavers · Parents carers The event is interactive and all providers / employers/ colleges and universities will all have to present an interactive activity for all YP to take part in. There will also be live vacancies for YP to apply for, the timings for the event are from 9am – 7pm. There will be up to 60 providers/ employers / recruitment agencies at the event and break out areas, where YP will be supported by employers and professionals to complete a short expression of interest form to enable them to apply for opportunities. They will also have the chance to enter into a prize draw for an Ipad Mini. Key 103 are there on the day and will be conducting a radio campaign two weeks before to advertise the event to all areas in GM. Adam Catterall will be there also on the day doing motivational speaking. We are happy to liaise with CXS to discuss transportation for any NEET in your area. We would like YP to register their intent to attend before the event so we have some idea of what numbers to expect, although we know there will be FTA rates.
