Education is the first and last hope of a nation. Corruption is a cancer which eats up everything. when corruption is triumphant in education; that is the death toll for that community. GB today is facing a very very critical situation. State institutions are not geared up to fight the menace and are giving way to political expediency. You may get kick backs from a bridge and the bridge will be made of inferior quality and last half of its planned life time. A new bridge will come up in due course of time. When you fill your coffers by recruiting unqualified teachers; the damage is permanent and self-perpetuating. You have now poisoned the fountains of knowledge and not one but all generations are damned who who go to school during the 30 years or so of the service tenure of the ill-qualified school teacher who made his way by paying 3-4 lacs. Their is no cure to this only curse that will remain decades after the crime has been committed. Bang-e-sahar and Blatistan Leaks deserve appreciation of the GBians as do dozens of courageous journalists of Skardu and Gilgit and Islamabad who do not give up on education and keep bringing this issue to the fore. Friends this is what no society should tolerate. Those who have made money by poisoning your kids should be exposed and penalized so that no one in future enters politics to make money on the expense of a GBian child.
