Educational Resource Group will be offering 2 BLS refresher programs this fall for BLS providers at all levels in Massachusetts & Rhode Island. The program will be held at our East Providence office with approval pending from both Massachusetts & Rhode Island offices for Emergency Medical Services. Please note with the transition to the National Registry in Massachusetts they recommend that providers whose certification expires in 2015 recertify by meeting the competency requirements established by the National Registry and not complete a refresher. Additionally EMT Intermediates are welcome to attend the course as well but since the Intermediate level no longer exists on a national scale, providers will likely have to advance to or recertify at a level recognized nationally. Massachusetts OEMS will be providing specific information regarding this matter in the upcoming months. At this time no changes exist with licensure levels and/or recertification requirements in Rhode Island. BLS (1) 10/27 - 11/03 - 11/10 BLS (2) 12/20 - 12/27 - 12/30 cost: $150.00 All sessions will be scheduled for 0800-1700 unless otherwise specified. Participants with credentials in RI will be subject to additional course work to meet local requirements. Based on the inquiries that we have had thus far we strongly suggest that you pre register/pre pay as space in this program is limited. Please identify which refresher you are interested in (i.e..BLS 1 or BLS 2) Please note the program will be taught in accordance with the 2009 National EMS Educational Standards and include the required transitional information as required by NREMT.
