It explains the secrecy, the fear, the bravery, the carefulness, the subterfuge and the complex logistics that went into one brave young 29-year-old American exposing the seemingly all-powerful NSA’s lack of transparency in its surveillance methods to an also brave journalist. I feel it gives us all a great outline of what others will be doing and going through as they, too, step ‘into the light’ to reveal the other confronting truths that are about to spill forth. These are brave, possibly over-lighted, souls; as are those who help to get their story ‘out’. BTW – I prefer to refer to Edward Snowden as a whistleblower. ‘Spy’, as used in the newspaper headline below, sadly has such negative connotations.
