Ego (aham) means Pride about oneself or State of awareness which thinks of you as separate from the other. It is the self identity or labeling of yourself, painting the ‘pure you’ with distinct qualities. Sometimes, it is the inaccurate self-image, a wrong idea of who you actually are that distances you from real happiness. The ego comprises the organized part of the personality structure that includes defensive, perceptual, intellectual-cognitive, and executive functions. Could be self-esteem, an inflated sense of self-worth or simply sense of self.
