Egyptian fiasco - Please tell me where I’m wrong, I’m so confused. First, Morsi is elected as the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood President promising Democratic reforms, but instead: 1. He suspends all forms of democracy in Egypt 2. He imposes Shari Law 3. He outlaws women working 4. His fanatic followers begin burning Christian churches across Egypt 5. His fanatic followers begin killing Christians throughout Egypt Then Obama negotiates with Morsi and gives this tyrant tanks, our most sophisticated jets, and millions of dollars of cash. Get this; no strings were attached, no denouncing of one single atrocity this tyrant committed. Next thing that occurred took Obama and the left by surprise. Millions of Egyptians went to the streets protesting, demanding their country back. Both old and young Egyptians risked their lives protesting wanting to simply live in a free democratic society. The valiant protest became an overwhelming force and Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood president was forced to step down. Are you following this so far? Now, the fanatical Muslim Brotherhood followers go to the street and attempt to get Morsi reinstated. They begin shooting, killing and the military (army) step in to quell the protest - hundreds of protesters are killed. Now, Obama has decided to suspend funds to Egypt because of the Military violence and since he also backs Morsi. I’ve been listening to reporters on every station report that the unruly military are killing innocents and Obama has no alternative but to stop funds designated for Egypt. And of course, he has quietly stopped all money to Egypt. But here is what the press is failing to report. Israel, the Russians and the rest of the free world don’t side with Morsi or Obama - they side with the Egyptians who want democracy. My question is, why would the left, headed by Obama be so intent on a Muslim Brotherhood form of government for Egypt when they are our enemy. If this was 1941, the analogy would be the same if Obama backed Hitler instead of joining the rest of the world in defeating the insane tyrant knowing full well that if Hitler succeeded he would invade America as well. Makes no sense at all! I see why Obama backs Morsi because of his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, but why does the left blindly agree with him is my question. Why would the press choose the wrong side in their slanted reports? How does that help America? Like so many Americans, I’m completely frustrated. I want President Palmer, the Black president on the TV hit show “24” to run for office. I know it was a TV show, but I want to believe again in a president that does the right thing. When I hear that Obama was playing cards while the Benghazi raid took place where the American ambassador and three other Americans were killed, I didn’t want to believe it. Then I read that the very next morning Obama simply got on a plane and traveled to Vegas to continue campaigning. It can’t be true. I can’t believe it’s true. I don’t want it to be true. From time to time, I have to rant.
