Ehhhhh...Corey sucked me in....so here it goes. 13. 1. Ive gone to work with a crisp suit, and oversized Olivia Pope coat, and an empty coffee mug in my hand just for the look. 2. Most people think Im quiet and shy. I am actually the opposite. Not the best at filtering what I say, so I play it safe. Thats about to change :) 3. My grandmother taught me how to sew 4. I almost drowned in 6th grade on a field trip. I saw my classmates swimming, it looked fairly easy. Just flap ya hands and your feet, right? So I jump in and started flapping, and sinking. Started drowning and all of a sudden I grabbed on to someones feet. It was Meghan, the big girl in my class. She swam out of the pool with me clinging on to her feet. Immediately, while gasping for fresh water free air, I blurted Thank you, Meghan, you saved my life! She looked at me like I was crazy and kept it moving. Thanks again Meghan! (Wherever you are) I have never gone to the deep end of a pool since. 5. I am most comfortable in baggy clothes. In fact, growing up I preferred shopping in the mens department. 6. Cant stand fake smiles. You know, the ones with no teeth. The im just going to try to move my face to acknowledge you. How about this, dont bother. I think Id prefer a real one, with teeth. 7. My eyes are bigger than my stomach. I almost always have more on my plate than I can finish. 8. My first kiss was at 16. 9. I hated my big lips growing up but now, I love them. 10. First words getting off the plane in America...wow...white people. 11. I am infatuated with Michael Jackson. He is the one person I was truly jealous of. 12. My smile can mean one of 3 things: Im pleased with what Im seeing or hearing, I think I have so much to say but I dont think you can handle it, so I smile. I am thinking about something else Im pleased with while youre talking. 13. I love cartoons and korean drama. 14. When I first came to America, I was trying so hard to lose my ascent. Teacher asked me to read in class, I started reading in my American accent. Teachers exact words were Linda, english please. Embarrasing....my accent has never left since then. 15. I cannot sleep in pitch black.... I need some kind of light...tv light...something. I also sleep with a teddy bear. 16. I cant live in a house without an iron. 17. In everything I wear, you will find the color, black or white. 18. I have a sister but mommy had a miscarriage 19. Rainy days used to mean bad days for me. So, I used to dread them. Im past that. 20. I can listen to Christmas music at any time of the year. 21. I find it difficult to eat at someones house without visiting their restroom. Dirty = dont eat Clean = Eat (if hungry) 22. My brothers and I used to set traps in bushes around our house in Nigeria. I remember we caught a juicy bush meat. Our neighbor cooked it for us, saved the fleshy parts for himself and gave us the boney feet. At 9 years old, I was pissed! 23. While in Nigeria, my brothers and I were sent American football tshirts with a huge NY GIANTS print on the front from my mom in America . We felt like a million bucks! My brothers and I at 10, 9(me) and 6years old used to handwash our clothes in and hang them on the line to dry. The next morning I was feelin ripe and ready to wear it again! Oh boy, I was excited! I looked outside and it was gone!I cried, and cried, and cried. Next thing I know, I see my 19 year old grown ass neighbor, a dude rockin my shirt and he had the nerve to ask me, what you lookin at?!
