Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated in the country tomorrow (Tuesday) subject to sighting of Shawal moon after a month of fasting. The national moon sighting committee meets at 7.15pm today at the Bangladesh Islamic Foundation to review reports on the sighting of the Shawal moon in Bangladesh. The Eid will be celebrated on Wednesday if the moon is not sighted today. The Islamic Foundation has requested people to inform them over telephone and fax about the news of moon sighting of the Shawal month if anybody can see the new moon. And the telephone and fax numbers: 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9556407, 9558337 Fax: 9563397. Muslims across the world will seek divine blessings at Eid prayers for peace, progress and prosperity. The president, Abdul Hamid, the prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the opposition in parliament, Raushan Ershad and Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia, greeted the Muslims in Bangladesh and all over the world on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr. President Abdul Hamid will exchange greetings with the top tier of government, elites and diplomats at Bangabhaban. Hasina will exchange Eid greetings with people from all walks of life on Eid day at her official residence, Ganabhaban, in the morning. Khaleda will exchange Eid greetings with eminent citizens and foreign diplomats stationed in Dhaka. The Eid reception will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Eid day. The main Eid congregation will be held at the National Eidgah at 8:30am. In case of inclement weather, the congregation will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. Five congregations will be held at Baitul Mukarram at 7:00am, 8:00am, 9:00am,
