Eight seniors from Union High School have been named 2014 National Merit Semifinalists. Principal Gart Morris made the announcement today as he and administrators congratulated the students. The number of semifinalists at Union is among the highest in the area, Morris said, and he encouraged the students to continue participating in the program to become National Merit Scholars. Following are the names of Union’s National Merit Semifinalists: • Sam Bogard, son of Edward and Annette Bogard of Broken Arrow • Delaney Couri, daughter of Rick and Christine Couri of Broken Arrow • Megan Harju, daughter of Alan and Dianne Harju of Tulsa • Emily Koehn, daughter of Dallas Koehn and Rachel Koehn of Broken Arrow • Lindsay Martin, daughter of Alan and Elizabeth Martin of Tulsa • Nitesh Mathur, son of Navin and Sangeeta Mathur of Broken Arrow • Jeremy Roberts, son of James and Cheryl Roberts of Tulsa • Daniella Royer, daughter of Christopher and Grace Royer of Tulsa More story/photos: unionps.org/index.cfm?id=100&newsId=14408
