Eileen Cipriani, who is running for State Representative in the120th District has shone proven leadership in her commitetments to.... Better Government by her 2011 Govenor`s Award for Local Governments Exelellence Category: Responding to Adversity. She was the founder and President of West Side Council of Governments .She was the West Wyoming Bourough council member and four years council President. She was on the Board of Directors and Officer of CASA [Court Appointed special Advocates}. She was was awarded the Legion of Honor- Chapel of Four Chaplins. On the enviroment she was awarded the Luzerne County Conservation award of Stewardship. She Is the Founder of the Abrahams Creek Watershed Advisory Association. She is on the Hicks Creek/Abrahams Creek Technical Advisory Committee. Eileen is also a member of the West Side Trail Commmission. She is on the West Wyoming Shade Tree Commission and she established the West Wyoming as a Tree City USA. She has a solid plan for elimanting our reliance on property taxes which will take the taxes off the backs of our citizens and restore the funding we need to educate our children. Eileen has always been involved with the real lives of the real people in our community. As a mother of two boys she became the president of the Wyoming/West Wyoming Little League. As a loving daughter she joined the Elder Abuse Task Force, seeking ways to protect our parents and grandparents from those who who prey on them. She was a Cub Scouts Den Leader, a Wyoming Area Catolic Parent Guild member AND a Volunnteer Athletic Director. On top of that she has done great work with the Wyoming area Kiwanis. Eileen is a graduate of Bishop O`reilly High School, she has a Bachelor of Science degree at Bloomsburg Universitey,a Masters degree at Misericordia in Organizational Management. Eileen worked for 26 years as a Medical Texhnologist at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Nesbit Hospital in Toxicology. AND if that weren`t enough she was the 120th legislative assistant specializing in constituent services and district outreach. But most importantly she has been married to her hsusband Joe, a professor at Misericordia and the mother of two fine sons David and Michael, students at Kings College.
