El Centro de Servicios Sociales - LORAIN, OH Upcoming Events November 2013 November 19 – El Centro in collaboration with Boy Scouts of America will be providing residents from our community with information on how to become a Cub Scout. At 5:30 p.m. at El Centro 2800 Pearl Ave Lorain Ohio. This session is for parents and kids. November 21 – El Centro Food Pantry – In collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio – from 12-3-pm at El Centro 2800 Pearl Ave. Lorain, Ohio 44055. Families are given one box of food on a first come first served basis-FREE- Photo ID required. (This event occurs every third Thursday of each month at the same time) November 21 – ESOL Orientation will be held at Employment Network at 9:00 a.m. at 42495 Northridge Rd Elyria, Ohio 44035. Orientation is required in order to attend ESOL classes provided by LCCC at El Centro on Monday & Wednesday evenings. November 23 – El Centro in collaboration with Dollar Bank will be conducting a FREE homeownership seminar at El Centro 2800 Pearl Ave Lorain Ohio from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. November 25 – December 6 – El Centro will conduct a holiday gift drive for El Dorado Senior Program. El Centro provides services too approximately to 250 Latino seniors that struggle with isolation, poverty, and lack of support. You can make a difference to the life of one of these seniors by donating a gift that will be given to them at El Dorado’s Christmas party on December 12th. Any new gift will be accepted however we will like to provide items such as pajamas, slippers, gloves, scarfs, sweaters etc. etc. Males & Female sizes range from M-XXL For more information on any of these events please contact El Centro at 440-277-8235.
