Election Day is right around the corner! On November 5, Owosso Public Schools has a Sinking Fund Millage Renewal on the ballot. Taxes will not increase if the sinking fund is passed assuming there have been no changes in property value. All funds are used to improve school facilities for OUR students. The sinking fund is the funding source for school maintenance and improvement projects. Similar to how your home needs to be maintained, our community schools need the same attention. Sinking funds can be used for capital projects only which can include: roofing repairs, windows, doors, restrooms, parking lots, heating and cooling systems, etc. To view the sinking fund projects from 1999-2013, visit: owosso.k12.mi.us. Vote November 5th!
