Election time in a small town is a complicated time of year. People that we know either gain or lose a job. Usually we personally know, or know of, the candidates. Until yesterday, I assumed both candidates for County Attorney were both just men that, either hoped to keep a job, or wanted a new job. Although I knew who I was voting for, I had no negative opinion of the other candidate. I had seen signs and posts from both candidates and thought there were two people that really wanted the same job, and while I hoped my candidate won, I didnt think that the other would do a bad job. However, after reading posts that accuse someone of doing hateful and spiteful things, instead of focusing on their own merit, I truly hope people will take that in consideration when voting. One candidate only states things they have done and ask you to vote for them. The other has resorted to attacking the character of his opponent. I think this speaks volumes about their own character. Go to the polls and vote for integrity. I dont even need to type the names because its a matter of public record at this point.
