Electronic Permitting is here! The Boston Fire Department Fire Prevention Division is pleased to announce that as of Monday morning December 15, 2014 the initial phase of electronic permitting will be available through the link below. Our customers can begin to use electronic permit application submittal, payment and supporting documentation submittal through our portal. The submittal of plans for these application will still be in paper form with the application number on them for the next several months while we finish the development of the eplan software. The permit applications types available to be applied for online are: Construction Fire Alarm Sprinkler Tent Temporary Place of Assembly Place of Assembly Self-Service Gas Stations We will be implementing the portal used by the City of Boston’s Inspectional Services Department for application submittal, and your account/log-in can be the same for both departments. You will be able to track and pay both departments permits through either link but must apply through the respective departments link. This portal will also allow you to pay online saving you from having to come to 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, receive online correspondence if more information is required to approve your application and print your permit when ready for issuance.
