Eleven hours with 39 kids was an experience. We started their day with donuts, donuts, donuts. We thought everything was going great until one boy went into a seizure. They called for help but after some time, the doctor felt it was best to send him to the hospital. It was so sad, his big brother and several others were so frightened for him and were crying. We were so thankful he didnt have the seizure on the skyride and that Pat saw him and caught him before he hit the sidewalk. His mom said he had no breakfast nor had he been given his medicine. They come from a very poor town. My friend, Pat and her friends, pay for a group of kids uniforms and school needs, so they can at least attend school. The day ended up being a fun time for them all. They laughed, cheered us and sang all the way home. Yep, we gave them cold drinks and more donuts and brownies on their return. The teacher pointed out one little girl that did without lunch unless she provided money. So, is that my next project??
