Elihu, Eliphaz and Zophar were friends of Job…Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place…to come and mourn with him and to comfort him. And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not they lifted up their voice, and wept (Job 2:11-12).They then got him to say things which he should not have said. Ha! Let’s be careful how we mourn oh!...Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare it if thou hast understanding…Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof…Job 38:1-4,6; God then specifically asked Job a piecing question which equally goes to all of us; Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? (Job 38:12) Now, what was Job’s answer to all these mighty questions? I know that thou cant canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee…Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes…(Job 42:2,6) Let’s all repent ohhhh!
