Ellis Announcements for Jan 24, 2014 The CCR3 voicemail system is down temporarily. We apologize for any inconvenience. The Clinton County R-3 school district has decided to implement the option of a two hour late start in place of missing a full day due to inclement weather. In the event of an unscheduled late start, you will be notified by usual means such as local television stations, textcaster, and the school website. The two hour late start will apply to every week day. Therefore, the starting time at Ellis will be 10:28 a.m. no matter which day the late start occurs, even Wednesday. The buses will pick up students two hours later than the pickup times on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. (For example, if your student is normally picked up on Mondays at 7:30 a.m., he/she will be picked up at 9:30 a.m. on two hour late start days.) There will be no early buses on two hour late start Wednesdays. 5th grade Spelling Bee is January 29 at 1:30pm in the Ellis gym. Parents/families are welcome to attend! Congratulations to 1st grade for having 97% attendance today and to 5th grade for having the best weekly attendance at 75%. Ellis is continuing the pull tab competition for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of KC in memory of Addison Faith Gudde through the 3rd quarter. The winning class will have a pop party!
