Ellis Announcements for November 24, 2014 Happy Birthday to Parker Hall! No School Wednesday, Thursday or Friday! Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing in the Lids for Kids! We just received a check for $646.50! Shopko will donate up to $2,000 to our school district for every signature received Nov 30-Dec 24. No purchase or donation required. You may sign up once a day, every day. Each signature counts towards a $1 donation! MOCHIP Child ID: This is a free service at Gower Christian Church on Dec 6 at 10am. Don’t forget Spanish class on Mondays and Fridays at 8am in Mrs. Kaminski’s room. From the counselor: Student Council is doing a material/blanket drive for patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Please send in new blankets, fleece fabric, or donations through Dec 19th. They will be making blankets on Dec 9 in the Ellis gym from 5-7:30pm and you’re invited to help! There is also a special promotion: if 75% of the parents at each school create parent accounts, the program will be given a $100 gift card! Right now, we’re at 50%. If we reach the 75% goal by Dec. 1, I will use the $100 gift card to purchase 10 Christmas ornaments. Then everyone with an active account will have their name put in a drawing. In the event of an unscheduled late start, you will be notified by usual means such as local television stations, textcaster, and the school website. The two hour late start will apply to every week day. Therefore, the starting time at Ellis will be 10:28 a.m. and the middle school and high school will begin at 10:22 a.m. no matter which day the late start occurs, even Wednesday.
