My son has been learning about electricity at school, and theyve been using this cool toy called Snap Circuits in the classroom, which you can see in these pictures. (affiliate link: amzn.to/1ysQncB) Hes been talking about it every night at dinner, for weeks, but I had no idea this was something I could actually buy for him to do at home. So last night we went to his school for Light the Night and he got to show me a door alarm he and his team created, that turns on and off when they opened the shoe box, plus he explained to me more about open and closed circuits than I had ever understood before. And then he built this cool circuit that turns on a fan (bottom photo), with the Snap Circuits. Ummm, wow! When I looked on Amazon this toy is only $21, and he was thrilled when I suggested it as a Christmas present. Im not one to normally suggest Christmas presents on the page because often theyre just more clutter, but Im making an exception for this one. This is such a wonderful gift idea for kids ages 7+ and I am definitely getting him this! If youve got any budding electrical engineers in your home definitely consider Snap Circuits!
