Elwick Village and Resource Centre would like to invite you to our celebration feast and mosaic project unveiling. Tuesday October 15th 3-6pm 1417 Fife St Please do us the honour of joining us in celebrating our success in creating the new façade for our building and a beautiful, lasting tribute to the idea of community. We were so privileged this year to receive an Artist in Residence grant from the Manitoba Arts Council and to receive some funding from the Neighbourhoods Alive! LIFT fund to help us to complete this project. This funding allowed us to work with the artist Ursula Neufeld for the entire summer. Over the summer our community members came together for this once in a life time opportunity to work with the wonderful Ursula, learning new skills and gaining a real sense of accomplishment. Come join us in saying thank you to The Manitoba Arts Council and Neighbourhoods Alive! for making this a possibility, and to Ursula and our community members for making it a reality. We will be serving a come and go tea from 3pm to 4pm Speeches and presentations from 4pm-4:30pm Feast served at 5pm Feel free to join us for any portion of the event you are able.
