Embrace it! Delay it! Reject it! God is in the blessing business without limits. Yet we put limits on Him. Name it and Claim it and it shall be yours! Who hasn’t made this statement before...? Who hasn’t preached this as a sermon before...? But do you know that it is not backed by any theological reference. It’s falsified information! I will agree that it is a very positive statement to make during low moments but we have to break that false habit! Here in John; Jesus is speaking to us saying that whoever believes in Him will do the works just like him. Jesus is saying; I’ll tell you the truth, if you do this I will do for you. We should believe in Him, so, we should go out and spread the word like Him. We should believe in Him, so, we should be able to break every stronghold like Him... By being obedient in faith and works then you shall be able to ask for whatever in His name. Don’t be afraid to ask. Ask in Jesus name and it will be given to you... Ask in Jesus name for someone else to be blessed... Ask in Jesus name! Just ask! Jesus is the doorway to our Father. John 14:12-14 (NIV) “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
