Emerging label MAHGUL to showcase capsulebridal collection, “A Wild Rose” at the PFDC LOréal Paris Bridal Week 2014 ‘Debut’ Show. One of Pakistan’s leading emerging labels, MAHGUL, is set to showcase a capsule collection at PFDC LOréal Paris Bridal Week 2014 as part of the platforms first ever dedicated ‘debut’ bridal show, the Bank Al-Falah Rising Talent Show. “A Wild Rose” collection is MAHGUL’s first bridal ramp showing and endeavours to explore the designer’s interpretation of modern femininity; a femininity that speaks of comfort in one’s own skin and where elegance is effortless. With a colour palette inspired by the hues of the setting sun, expect silhouettes that are based in the concept of layering and bridal wear as separates. Indeed synonymous with the name of the collection, the silhouette and embellishment inspirations metaphorically draw on the wild rose that grows unabashed by its own vivacity, reveling in its bold bursts of colour - strong, yet delicately balanced in its layered assemblage. The collection is predominately based in fabrics such as nets and heavy silks with embellishment in silk and gold threads, feathers and mother of pearl. For this debut bridal collection, MAHGUL will also be introducing bespoke bridal footwear clutches and pieces of jewellery. The fivelooks being shown by the brand at PFDC LOréal Paris Bridal Week 2014 are five aspects from MAHGUL’s complete luxury couture version of ‘A Wild Rose’ collection, which will be available to order at their Lahore studio or online as of October 2014. MAHGUL was first introduced as a diffusion project titled‘Mahgul for Nasreen Shaikh’ in 2013. Since their PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week debut, the brand has held two trunk shows in Karachi at Ensemble and as a pop up initiative respectively as well as two trunk shows in Lahore at the PFDC and at Home Couture with regular seasonal and occasion based prét and luxury prét collections. The brand has also expanded to a studio space in Lahore’s Gulberg for Formal, Bridal and Luxury Prét appointments. MAHGUL has also stocked since June 2013 at Ensemble in Karachi, the PFDC in Lahore and more recently at Fashion Pakistan Lounge in Lahore.
