FLOUR WORMS - I had never encountered larva and flour worms in my flour until today. Found the sealed pax 1kg protein flour I bought from a bakery shop last month is now full of larva and spotted the black insect. So I went back to the shop and the seller explained I must store the flour in the fridge because they contain no preservatives. It never occurred to me that flour I bought from Supermarket contain preservatives but she was right about it, otherwise why all these years my flour lasted for months without worms appearing in them. After I googled, I learnt that to avoid any larva/worms breed in my flour, all I have to do is to put it in my freezer for 96 hours (4 days) that remove and store as usual. The freezing process will kill off any eggs and weevils already present in the flour. Can you share how you store your flour (not those packed with brand names) that you bought from bakery?
